Dr. McCray is a local resident of the surrounding area and grew up in Denton County. He is married to Julie and together they have three children, two of which go to school at Liberty Christian in Argyle. They attend church at Cross Timbers Community Church in Argyle. After graduating high school, Dr. McCray spent four years in the U.S. Army before returning to Denton to attend Texas Woman's University. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center of Fort Worth and residency training at Plaza Medical Center of Fort Worth in conjunction with John Peter Smith Hospital. Dr. McCray worked briefly for CareNow before he and Julie opened Bartonville Family Medical in December of 2006. He believes strongly in a team approach to healthcare; one requiring an open dialogue between the patient and the physician. His goal is to foster a relationship with his patients so that they would have trust in one another and complete understanding of any disease process being treated.
